Tim Barry
Tim Barry the founder of My Michigan Roots is a passionate small business owner who pours his heart into his work. He taught himself the art of screen printing to create custom apparel that reflects his bold and adventurous spirit mixed with the love of his home state. When he’s not managing his shop, he’s chasing the thrill of the outdoors with his wife Kelly, soaring through the sky on his paramotor, catching the wind kiteboarding, or riding his motorcycle down winding roads in search of new places to explore. An avid hiker, he finds joy in discovering nature’s hidden treasures, and he lives with a deep love for Christ that grounds everything he does. His faith fuels his purpose, his work ethic, and his desire to live life fully, always balancing dedication to his business with the freedom and wonder of the world around him. Tim is also a USPPA Certified PPG Instructor, offering foot launch, tandem and trike training as well as “exploratory flights” through his company Vagabond PPG. Kelly Barry
Kelly is Tim’s wife. Alongside her husband, she pours her energy into their business serving as a steady and devoted partner who helps bring their shared vision to life. She finds peace and joy in the outdoors, whether hiking, exploring nature, or seeking new adventures, always seeing God’s hand in creation around her. Her faith guides her steps, and in both business and life, she strives to honor Him through her work, her marriage, and the way she embraces each day with gratitude and purpose. Together they form a powerful team each contributing in unique ways to build a life and business rooted in His purpose and passion.
